Well got another gripe, well two but they are related with Gutsy as it stands atm.
I get this when I do a apt-get dist-upgrade:
The following packages have been kept back: compiz-core, compiz-dev, compiz-kde, compiz-plugins, libvips-tools, nip2
Then:
Processing triggers for libc6
Loooooooooooooong wait.
processes other files, then:
Processing triggers for libc6
again with the long wait.
argh! Now I dont know exactly why thoughs packages refuse to upgrade, it might be that my cruddy videocard (the geforce4 that isnt really, but a souped up geforce2, geforce4mx) has been blacklisted, or it might be something else, I'm hoping it's resolved by release that either A: I can upgrade my existing software, or B: it won't work on my computer anymore so I can take it out. Because having it check every time, and the huge amount of time it adds to the upgrade process, well its just a bit much.
Oh on a side note, how do I disable that bloody file indexing thing, it really eats up resources as my server sends me a good amount of data each day, and I truly don't need it indexed I know where it all go's, so it's just wasting processor cycles.
