The booting process goes really slow with me.. also it seems to hang, when i press alt + f5 it seems to continue.. but it just takes reallly long.. also some qucik error messages, but i dont know if this is related ?

Reading a few posts here and there it seems that some can improve this by
fine tuning Tracker Preferences . System , Preferences , Indexing Preferences ,
( Tracker ) , however this hasn't made a difference on my machine. But worth a try !

Some have suggested it is to do with the current kernel and that 2.6.23 will be faster. I know this one is quite slow to start.

attach your syslog. installing bootchart usually helps to determine what's taking so long in boot sequence.

bootchart is in synaptic . I always insall it to keep track of whats going on during boot . I have done no tweaking of my boot sequence and my boot times are 25>27 seconds , I can't even pour my coffe in the morning :confused:

My boot is rather slow as well. I just wish I could read the bootchart. It seems rather technical... Can't I get some kind of pie chart instead?

its confusing at first , just look it over for awhile and you will figgure out whats going on.
