[SOLVED] firefox freezes in 7,10 64bit after latest updates?

hi, i installed 7.10 a week or so ago, and it's been running great on my 64bit system, but after the last 50 or so updates i suddenly have it locking up on content heavy pages (compiz darkens the window for 1-2 minutes.)

I had the exact same problem. My solution: removed firefox completly as well as the adobe flash plugin with synaptic and wiped my .mozilla folder then reinstalled them all.
