Instant email notification

I have recently changed my email address in my User CP. I have "Instant email notification" enabled but no longer receive emails from my subscribed threads.

I used to recieve them on my old email address but not anymore on the new email address.

Has anybody got a solution to this as this is a very useful service I could do with having.
