dvd to google video?

I have to rip a few dvds and then upload them onto google video. how can I do this?

Use an open source SWF editor....

It takes WMA Mpeg AVI files and converts then to compressed flash.

Google will compress again.

how can I get the dvd to an .avi? and do you have any recommendations for the swf editor?
