Does wine work with gutsy gibbon?

WINE is working fine for me. Are you sure this isn't an issue with PulseAudio? (which I believe is default in Gutsy)

What terminal output do you get when running the title manually from CLI?

All of my wine applications seem to be working fine with Gutsy. Unfortunately I don't have GTA III so I can't give you any specifics on that app. You might check over at the forums on WineHQ and see if there has been a regression with the last Wine upgrade. Maybe there is a workaround available.

Not sure what is going on with the 0.9.47 package, but there isn't even one for Feisty yet, let alone Gutsy. It is pretty likely that they are waiting for the official release of Gutsy in a couple of days before they release the package.

That's most likely an audio issue, did you find out if pulse audio is installed or not?

I take this back. I just updated my WineHQ software sources in preparation for a Gutsy release of the Wine package and there already is a 0.9.47 package for Gutsy. There still doesn't seem to be a Feisty package, though.

Go to System > Administration > Software Sources and make two entries that looks like the attached screenshots.
