The version of Liferea in backports is currently 0.9.2. The most recent version in Debian Unstable is 0.9.4, which contains a number of bugfixes and improvements. I am sure I and many other Liferea users would appreciate having the newer version available. Incidentally, 0.9.5 was just released by the Liferea project (with more bugfixes and support for Atom 1.0 feeds), but an updated Debian package does not yet exist.

I use Liferea every day, it would be nice to have Atom feed support :( Is there anyone out there that can help?

[snip] Incidentally, 0.9.5 was just released by the Liferea project (with more bugfixes and support for Atom 1.0 feeds), but an updated Debian package does not yet exist. As of today, 0.9.5 and 0.9.6 source packages are in debian unstable. There also seems to be some sort of patch from Ubuntu for 0.9.4 that changes a dependency from mozilla to firefox: http://packages.qa.debian.org/l/liferea.html
I hope these become available as Ubuntu binary packages soon.

Liferea 0.9.7 is now available as a source package in unstable. When will we get a Liferea update for Ubuntu?
