I had to update PBweb said punkbuster for enemy territory. I download pbweb.x86 and put it in my home PB directory, now how do I execute pbweb.x86? Whats the command to execute a .x86? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When i installed quake3 it came with an option to install punkbuster, i said yes and it created a pb folder inside my .q3a dir. To update it i cd .q3a/pb and then execute ./pbweb.x86 It seems you should move it to the proper dir. My .q3a is not visible becuase of the "." I'm not familiar with et but i guess must be similar. gl

Any help would be greatly appreciated.When you installed et, it installed a copy of punkbuster already, in my case it was installed to /usr/local/games/enemy-territory/pb/. I changed to that directory, ransudo chmod +x pbweb.x86, then sudo sh pbweb.x86 and it updated fine for me.

Perhaps you are not aware that EvenBalance launched a new application to make every gamers life simpler, even if you play several games that use PB it will update them all simultaneously...
this util is called "PBsetup" and the link for download and Linux installation instructions can be found at:
