I am very impressed with mythbuntu RC!

Here is a little background on my system:

Soyo P4 Motherboard and Intel P4 2.8 800 MHz CPU
Hauppauge PVR 350
ATI x850
Soundblaster Live
Maxtor SATA II (had to put a jumper on the drive to get my MB to see it as SATA I and not II)

Everything works out of the box with mythbuntu even the remote. This is the reason I tried this in the first place, mythtv on Fiesty never worked right and I could not get the remote to work. I have some tweaking to do with the remote I think and I have yet to attempt TV out via svideo but will try that.

I do have one small issue I hope is easy to fix. I have sound out through my SoundBlaster Live card (which is seen and installed fine) but it sounds liek static and tv sounds like the Peanut's teacher talking.

Is there something easy to get sound normalized?

I solved my own problem (gotta love that!)

In the volume control, I selected show switches atthe bottom and turned of (unchecked) "SB Live Analog/Digital output Jack)

To get here either run xfce4-mixer or add volume to the menu bar panel
