So, i figured i'd see a tally on who codes what, so i can buy a can of beer for all you non-PHP programmers, because i feel so bad for you.

=D

Nah, i want to get a count on how many people are FLUENT, [This means you can program without using any kind of resource other than a simple text-editor], in the top 4 languages.

Other is the top 4th, i felt bad for all those Java programmers, so i threw that in there. But hey, if i tossed in Java, i might as well put EBCDIC

The poll asks which we prefer, not which we are fluent in. It's also odd that you group C#, C, and C++ as they're absolutely different languages (it's like saying PHP/Perl/Ruby). I can program in all of them, but I'm a bit rusty with C# and Java.

Plus I only got to click one option!

What happens if I can do them all fluently (I cant btw but what if? :lolflag:)

I only clicked C/C#/C++ becuase I know C++ and can get myself around in C code, but have never programmed in it. I refuse to touch C#.

You simply CAN'T program anything without any resource. After about 15 years of using C++, I'd say I'm pretty fluent at it, yet I *always* use some kind of documentation when I work (and I spend much time digging the obscure parts of the STL docs...).

Unless you meant "no *syntax* reference"?

Based on that last assumption, I voted C / C++ (why on earth did you put them together with C#? FWIW C# is way closer to Java than to the C family...), PHP, Java and Other (SQL, Delphi). God is my witness, I will never program in CLI.

Thats the joke! lol.

I tried to change the poll but vB sucks and won't let you edit the poll options. I figured they're all pretty much the same (As yuo can tell i never touched it) lol.
