First of all, I'd like to thank bodhi.zazen, my co-leader for taking the time to jump-start this forum with this thread : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3531364

I'm going to reiterate what bodhi said : We would like to build a team of hardware guru's to assist new and old users alike. If you use Linux, and you are interested in hardware devices, than we need your help.

Hardware-related problems are among the most common problems holding back Linux today. If you are experienced in fixing problems relating to

Printers
Video Cards and multiple monitors
Wi-FI
Laptops
Macs
Storage Devices
and the other devices out there...then we'd like, sorry, we need your assistance.

How can I help?

You can help out in more than one way.

The most common way is to help people directly, through the forums/irc/launchpad.

The second way is helping to maintain hardware How-to's and the Wiki. This is quite important too. One of the areas in which people have the most problems are with laptops, so if you have a laptop, and it works with Ubuntu, do comment about it.

The third way, and which is just as important, is to report bugs on launchpad. Also, you might help people fill out the bug forms by requesting more specific information.

Requirements

You do not need to be an expert on every piece of hardware under the sun. However, please do make sure that the information you pass on to users is reasonably correct, and detailed. It's not just a matter of copying and pasting, or just giving out a link. Telling anybody to RTFM will not be tolerated.
