Live CD worked well for me, hence I decided to do a parallel install of gutsy RC along with my main feisty. The install and all went well . I used my original feisty boot menu, using symlinks to boot gutsy. However on booting after seeing the progress bar with Ubuntu logo and all the system goes in to the command line interface of initramfs, giving a prompt of (initramfs), so I guess something has gone wrong. Can anybody help?

For anybody who cares. The problem was in grub in the line "root=sda5", which when changed to "root=sdb5" worked perfectly. I will forever be confused when will Grub/Ubuntu show consistencey in the drive letter allocation. The same worked fine (sda5) with another Linux mounted. I have one IDE device and another SATA, but in my fdisk -l both show up as sda and sdb drives.
