The mb bios clock is set to my local time (GMT+10, Brisbane)
If I select 'Use UTC" Ubuntu always adds 10 hours to UTC and shows it as the local time.
If I do not select 'Use UTC' it adds 20 hours and shows it as the local time.
So, it appears that when it syncs with a net server (it doesn't matter which one) 10 hours gets added and it is considered UTC.

Let me put it another way. When I do a manual sync with a time server and click 'Synchronize now' the time displayed in the dialog is always UTC+10. I think this is correct. The only way I can get this displayed in the panel is to enable 'Use UTC', if I don't do this the time displayed is UTC+20 which is incorrect. The times on new files of course are always incorrect.

Anyone else having this problem?

Cheers, Mike
