Have you noticed that kde is at ver 3.5.8? I was very surprised to discover this, when the release date is this close...
3.5.8 is supposedly only a bugfix release, but nevertheless i didn't think the kubuntu developers would bend the rules this much.

It must be because i've been a very, very good boy this year. Granted, it's not x-mas quite yet, but i guess santa must be in a good mood :D

KDE4 would likely eventually find its way into backports repositories, I hope? :)

Me wants it.

Well, I think KDE 4.0 have a little luck to make it for Hardy Heron (8.04). It only depends on release date.

It's released on December 14, but she isn't talking about Hardy Heron, she is talking about upgrading her 4.0 Beta 2/3 to 4.0 on Gutsy.

Hardy Heron won't include KDE 4.0, unless something amazing happens, because it's an LTS release, and KDE 4.0 won't be enough stable for that kind of release. However, sure it will be include on Hardy Heron repositories.

I don't have the Beta installed yet. I am waiting for the official release (my boyfriend would complain if I somehow ruin the setup I've got and have to reinstall. As soon as it's a little more stable, I'll give it a go on my testdrive (sep. partition dedicated to messing around with distros).

Cool. I'm looking forward to upgrading to Heron when it comes out too.
