View Full Version : Windows don't stay on their desktop

I just installed Compiz-Fusion on Feisty, and everything is working great. There is, however, one minor window behavior that is irritating me to no end. In the past, when using Beryl, the window would stay on the task bar on the desktop in which I created it. Now, all of the windows that I have open, regardless of which desktop they are on, stay on the taskbar all of the time. I'm sure that this is just a setting that needs changed, but I can't find. I hate having a cluttered task bar, and it's really the only reason that I use multiple desktops. Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

This is what my Beryl has always done I still don't know how to fix it but I have renewed hope.

On the panel,( just to the right of the workspace area) <- worng! just to the left of the window area is a bar ||. Right mouse click on it -> prefeneces, and you will be in a 'windows preferences' dialog.
The rest is self explanatory :-)

I didn't know that this setting was there but, unfortunately, changing has absolutely no effect for me. I set it to show windows only from the current workspace and it still shows them all!

Ummm. I don't know then. Using compiz-fusion it works if I switch between one or the other.
