I'm trying to use ITK (the Insight Toolkit) for an image segmentation task, and I'm a little stumped. Everything compiles just fine, but when I try to run the sample applications (command line, using their sample data), I get segmentation faults every time, exception thrown from libstdc++. At first I thought maybe I needed to upgrade to Gutsy, since I'm using the most recent version of ITK, but that didn't help. Is it possible that Ubuntu's libraries are not compatible with ITK? Has anyone got a successful ITK system on their computer? I've tried emailing the ITK mailing list, and the only suggestion I got was that maybe my system is incompatible.
