I just installed Ubuntu 7.04 64Bit on my AMD64 computer. I have 4 GB RAM with AMD64 4800+ processor.
Running Ubuntu 32Bit with the server kernel running showed ALL 4 GB RAM but with the Ubuntu 64 Bit with the server kernel it shows 3.9GB. Anyone have any idea about this?
Otherwise I have everything up and running including Firefox with flash and java, still waiting for shockwave.....

There's no going back to 32 bit, I'm impressed.....

What kind of video card do you have? Maybe it's subtracting some memory for shared video RAM. There is at least one other post about this on the forums. See the link.

Hope this helps

Yep, similar setup here -- Four 1GB DIMMs installed. I think this is one of those "how are you counting that?" issues. Here's what it says in my Kinfocenter "memory" tab:

"Total physical memory: 4,150,165,504 bytes = 3.87 GB"

So, it's byte-math! :)
