We all know that 7.10 is going to come out on the 18th, but is it possible that we can put an announcement on the front page to ask seasoned users to use an alternate install disk from Bittorrent instead of directly from the HTTP and FTP?
The goal of this is to open up more space for newer users to just easily upgrade their system over the Update Manager, since [I] expect more people to be using the updates, where most seasoned users should easily be able to use the Alternate CD with some instructions.

gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"
And I would have posted the link to the alternate CD, but that's something to wait for.
