Adobe just released Adobe Reader 8.1 for Linux. I installed it and can run it by double clicking on ~/software/Adobe/Reader8/bin/acroread, but when I try to add it to the Applications menu nothing happens. I can't add anything else to the menus either, not even additional instances of programs that are already there.

This is on Feisty amd64, completely up to date. I always used to be able to add menu items, move them around, delete them, etc. Suddenly the menu editor does not work.

I just discovered that it is adding the menu item for Adobe Reader 8.1 under Applications > Debian > Apps > Graphics, even though I have that whole Debian folder unselected. The folder that was selected when I added the menu item was Applications > Graphics.

This has to be a new bug caused by my always upgrading when Update Manager says there is a new version of something. Has anyone else experienced this?
