Qexpo (http://qexpo.quakedev.com/), the online expo for all things Quake 1 & 2 is currently running and Wazat has released his Nexuiz gamemode mod (http://qexpo.quakedev.com/booths.php?tag=wazat) that features CTF, Domination and Runematch play for Nexuiz along with a few maps. I don't know about others but I've been eagerly waiting for CTF to be added from the first day Nexuiz was released.
Qexpo is of interest for Linux gamers' because of more than just Nexuiz. After all, Q1 and 2 are both GPLed and you can play anything on display there. A couple of interesting booths:
Warsow (http://qexpo.quakedev.com/booths.php?tag=solomonk) is an FPS using the QFusion engine. It has nice looking cel-shaded graphics and focuses on interesting competitive play.
The Hunted Chronicles (http://qexpo.quakedev.com/booths.php?tag=chris) is a single player series that has some resemblance to survival horror games (but no puzzles really). I found the first part of the series rather frustrating and would suggest skipping that but the second part was already considerably better and I have high hopes for the third one because of that.
Code Red: Alien Arena (http://qexpo.quakedev.com/booths.php?tag=irritant) is another FPS based on the Q2 engine that features aliens dueling it out.
Do post more things of interest if you happen to find them among the booths, I think the idea of Qexpo is really cool. :)
