Motion eye does not work

Hi all


I have got a sony PGN-TZ17GN 11.1'' 1366x768 laptop.I have installed sonypi and sony_acpi modules

also installed are motioneye,xawtv,v4l.

dmesg | grep "sony" shows camera=on

but still camera (motion eye) does not show any o/p.I did not get any photo.

when done
xawtv

shows no video grabber device found.v4l-conf had some trouble,trying to continue anyway
v4l2:Open /dev/video0:No such device
v4l:no such device


How can I make the motion eye to work.

The best web cam capture software I know is camorama (http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/gnome/camorama)

works for me, hope it does for you too :)
