Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck installing the Canon PIXMA ip1600 on amd64 architecture with Ubuntu?

I used to have this working with Gentoo but I'm unable to find any instructions for 64bit systems with Ubuntu. The drivers required are the iP2200 and if you've had any luck with this set of drivers I'd appreciate any information you have.

Thanks,
Nick

I'm having the same situation here. Installed Ubuntu Studio 64bit and need the drivers for my IP1600.

I have it working on my gentoo installation, but have been unable to get it with on Ubuntu. The best I have been able to do on Ubuntu is the turboprint drivers.

Well, thanks. I got it working with TurboPrint.:) That seems to be the only way right now.

Anyone come up with any blindingly brilliant ideas since yet?

I thought my days of unsupported hardware were finished :( .

There is always one bit hanging on round the corner.
