Loving Gusty so far, but one small problem. The "window list" panel preferences dialog doesn't have a size option (where you can set minwidth and maxwidth) Screenshot: http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshotwindowlistprept1.png Can someone help?

the entry in the gconf editor says: "The use of this key was deprecated in GNOME 2.20. The schema is retained for compatibility with older versions. " (/apps/panel/applets/window_list_screen0/prefs/maximum_size)

so, i guess there is no max, min size anymore.

that's sad because i liked it when 2 apps used all the space available and i could read the whole window title (e.g. firefox)

That sucks! Can anyone confirm this?

Confirmed... There is no way to change the size of the buttons, and that sucks =/

Yes, there is no way to change the size. However I like it now. I found that annoying when I had one window take up the entire bottom panel.

You could have just adjusted the preferences so that they didn't take up the entire panel, but I actually want them to take up the unused space, and now there is no way to do that...

wow, this is the final straw - gusty sucks!! It's like xp 'upgrading' to vista!

Glad I don't use it! :p

The buttons used to resize themselves all over the place.. They've fixed it in 2.20, and thats why we can't choose the minimum size of the buttons anymore. It's great that they've fixed it, but I would really like to get back that option again.

Step off the ledge, guys. It's just a window list. Having the window list resize all the time was very unprofessional looking.

If you don't like it, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, etc would love to have you. :)

Personally I used it because I wanted a very small window list in the corner of the screen, but now it just grows and grows the more windows I have. Annoying.

corner of the screen? I have mine take up the whole bottom bar. Anyway, just in case anyone is interested, this actually seems better. After getting used to it a little, it seems like the perfect size.
