As title states I can not get Gutsy to finish install. I first tried 64 version and had problems with ubiquity crashing finally figured out I had to run in terminal gksu ubiquity(was a bug and was supposed to be fixed but still gave me troubles) I finally got through partitioning and the install seemed to be going ok but then never gets to the part where it tells me to reboot. I have target mounted drives on desktop. After about 10min I decided to reboot and see what happens and It will not boot. When I boot into Feisty on another drive It looks like the system is there. I tried the 32 version as well same thing. I thought maybe I had grub configured incorrectly so I disconnected the feisty drive (hdo) and still nothing. I have boot loader for Gutsy on its drive (hd1). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Got it!

It's a problem with Migration Assistant. Just reinstall, but don't use the desktop Install icon, instead open a terminal and do:

good luck

I think your link is wrong. I finaly got 64bit to install with sudo ubiquity --no-migration-assistant. I am not happy with the whole java/flash problems. I would like to go back to 32bit but nothing works to get it to install. I might try the alternative install.

Finally had to install 32bit with alternate install cd.
