The gimp on linux, but on windows i used to use paint shop pro 7, photofiltre, and ms paint (it was good for some things like editing down to the pixel). I also used the gimp on an earlier version but then reformatted and it wouldent work with 800*600 though ubuntu lets me go past that resolution.

On Ubuntu, there is only GIMP and Inkscape (and Sodipodi?).

I have worked a lot with Photoshop, Illustrator and CorelDRAW the last ten years, so I am a spoiled and demandng user.

Did I miss anything? It is a little depression with the lack of choice on Linux, but GIMP and Inkscape are very promising products, as is Scribus if you need a DTP program.

Replacements for Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign/Quark? Not yet (for me), but very very interesting products to less demanding users, and... free.
