View Full Version : 15 second wait when using search.

I have a couple forum sections set up as subscriptions. I go into user cp, pick a section and browse around for a few minutes. Then if I try to click on new posts or any other option from that bar, it says I have to wait 15 seconds before doing another search.
Even if I sit idle and come back after 10 minutes and click it says wait 15 seconds.
After the first 15 second warning the timer does count down and 15 seconds later I can choose from that bar.
Something appears to be wrong with this.

I had never seen that option :/
(I use rss feeds for sub-forums).
I subscribed to ABT, does not look i can find it in my userCP, may be because no new thread has been posted there yet. I'll wait a little to test this further.

Just checked again. Where do you have the subscribed forum, I cannot find it..

Go to a forum section and click on forum tools and choose "subscribe to forum" Then click on user cp and the top option user control panel. You should now see a section where it says subscribed forums and the forum section you just subscribed to.
Go into that forum and search a few threads then try to click on New Posts. At this point is when I get the wait 15 seconds before doing another search.
Edit: This isn't just happening when I go throug user control panel either. I noticed if I pick a forum section and just browse that for a few minutes then click on new posts, it gives me the same wait 15 seconds before doing another search.

Quite strange, I did subscribe to ABT, but it's not showing anywhere. I'll try with another sub-forum.
