View Full Version : Quesiton about the shift switcher and scale plugins

Hello there everyone.

I have to say that the Scale plugin is the most useful plugin CF has, and that the shift switcher plugin is really cool. Unfortunately, these plugins only work with the windows on the current viewport (desktop). Is there anyway to see all the windows in all viewports with these plugins?

For the shift switcher, I have "windows from all viewport" binded to Super+Alt Tab. I'm pretty sure the settings for this are in the Compiz Config Settings Manager (CCSM). When you click on a plugin in the manager, you can select what binidngs you want.

EDIT: Same goes for the Scale plugin

Using Gutsy and compiz, I can't see where to do this. In the configuration settings for Scale, Actions tab, I can Initiate Window Picker, or Inititate Window Picker for all windows, but Viewports? Also, whilst I can enable for all windows, I cannot disable Initiate Window Picker, and hence the scale function will only work for opened windows, not minimized windows. Would really like to use scale for all windows everywhere - it's extremely useful. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm guessing you're using a different version of either Compiz or CCSM than I am. When I click on the scale plugin, I get two tabs, General & Bindings. My version of CCSM is 0.6.99 and Compiz v 0.5.5. Also, I'm using Feisty.
As far as using Scale for minimized windows, I don't think this is possible. Could be mistaken.

OK, thanks. I have compiz 0.6.0, csm 0.5.2 on gutsy as far as I can tell. Pit about not doing minimized windows, that would be really really useful.
