merging two harddrives both with Windows xp.

hey I was given a second hand pc with a lot of good window programs installed. I pulled the hd and added it to my girlfriends current computer. I works adn I can get at information but all teh programs think they are in the c drive and none of the d drive programs have made it to the start menu any thoughts on how to fix this?

these programmes will have to be reinstalled, all of the relevant registry entries and programme shortcuts are missing, to set these you will have to reinstall the apps,
