1. Is there a Welcome forum/thread? If I overlooked it, could you point me in the right direction? Or do I just make a thread here?

2. I understand why [IMG] code might be disabled, but I may be wrong. Is this an accident or a decision?

Oh and hello. I'm looking to pick up a Xubuntu ISO soon.

1. Not really, people usually just make a hello thread in the cafe. Hi there.

2. I certainly hope not... I used the IMG tag extensively in my guide. Generally though I wouldn't recommend filling pages with lots of displayed pictures... links are best.

Have fun with Xubuntu and if you need help getting started check links in my sig :).

1. Oh thanks. I guess this will be it.

2. Actually I meant for sigs. I should have made that clear![/baka]

I'll check those out.

Oh and another question: are beans posts?

Ah, ya. No sigs, that was decided a while ago I think. You can always put links in or do a small ASCII art like a bunny. You are limited in character count though.

Yes, beans = posts. Though I still wish it were tea leaves... why does the world have to run on coffee?

Like I said, I could understand. Images, ESPECIALLY animated, can really slow a page down. And considering there's about 200 members online (I am not daring to count) it can really lag the forums. I'm sure you know this.

Oh. Well how come I don't get a bean when I post? (Not to be demanding, I think post-counts are for noobs anyway. I just don't want to look like a lurker)

You only get beans when you post in certain forums. If I remember the Cafe doesn't count.

Oh then they must have disabled post-count here.
