problem with ubuntu

Heres the problem:

I tried to install the newest ubuntu using Power PC on my Mac today. When I boot it up a black screen comes up with "boot : Linux" Then it says Starting Kernel...... and freezes! I tried installing 3 times and it still wont work. Please help!! ](*,)
