I was hoping I would be able to use SCIM in Thunderbird or Sunbird so that I could do my calendar in Chinese and sync it with google's calendar. Unfortunatly the google calendar plugin only works with Thunderbird/Lightning 2.0+ or, I'm guessing Sunbird. But, as we know, SCIM and these newer mozilla's don't cooperate... I was wondering if that's because of something the mozilla developer people are doing (should I try to pester them?) or if it had to do with the ubuntuzilla script.I ca

REally I can settle for using the fully functional (w/ SCIM) firefox I've got now to edit google's calendar online but it should would have been nice to be able to do it offline too *shrug*

Thanks for any info ya'll can offer:D

Hi,
well, ubuntuzilla doesn't do anything "special", it installs the official mozilla builds - so i'd say that your best bet would be to pester the mozilla people to build their releases with SCIM support enabled...

have you tried any of the workarounds proposed on the ubuntuzilla site?
