John Deere American Farmer / Hoyle Games

One of my favorite games is John Deere - American Farmer Deluxe - could you tell? :)

My lady-friend enjoys Hoyle Card / Board / Puzzle Games, and all those Seek & Find games you can get from BigFish Games or Gamehouse.

Has anyone had any experience in testing these games using Wine? I am having a horriffic time trying...

Normally I'd suggest that you check out Wine's Application Database to see if it has any ratings for the games, but I can't seem to get into the site right now. When it becomes available, you can find it here:

But, as long as it is not available, maybe we try and help you. What kind of problems are you having with the games, specifically what errors are produced in the terminal when you try to install or run the game?

EDIT - AppDB is back up and that John Deere game has a "garbage" rating (meaning it won't work in Wine), but it was last tested with Wine version 0.9.30, so it might be worth pursuing some further testing with a newer version of Wine. There are far too many Hoyle games to go through, but if you go to the site and search for the specific game you are trying to run, you might find some info on how to get it running.
