Im getting into developing
Im learning python and Java
What i want to know what tools do i need

IDE
GUI Builder
Compiler
Libraies

what are the best programs for theses
and is there anything else i would need

I was hoping to make my programs cross platform

any help would be greatly appreciated

It really depends on what you want to write.

For Java, check out Eclipse and perhaps Borland JBuilder (my personal favorite, comes with its own GUI builder), if you want a nice IDE. The Java standard library contains basically everything you will ever need.

Can't give you any tips about python.
