Katamari like game

does anyone know is there is a katamari like game out that is available for the pc. and if there is will it run on ubuntu. I know guitar hero has a similar game but katamari is fun and i can't get enough of it after playing it at my friends house.

I would guess if you had a copy of the rom, you should be able to play the game with sdlmess. See this thread:

I'll see if I can find all the appropriate roms and get it running on my system. I've been able to get vectrex games to play, and it's easy enough to find various other console games on-line, so we'll see...

edit: on most bittorrent search websites you can find the katamari damacy rom, and the PS2 bios. That's everything you should need to run Katamari via the mess emulator. I'll let you know if it works for me.

EDIT: Got this confused with MAME, although last I checked PS2 emulation was nowhere near playable that may have changed.

You can buy it or Download it from torrents and emulate it or burn it and play on your Ps2 ;)

I just downloaded this game and it runs flawlessly in wine. Definitely a good katamari linux replacement!
