Hello all! In my laptop I have these partitions:
PQSERVICE(F:) primary
LOCAL DISK(D:) logical(XP)
ARWEN (C:)
and 22,98 GB of unallocated space
I read bsd needs to be installed in a primary partition but neither disk manager of XP nor Gparted can create one, they only create logical partitions.I want install BSD in 8GB of the unallocated space, does anyone know what can I do?Any help appreciated cause it's the forst time I try to install PCBSD
Thanx :-)

Well..finally I deleted XP,it needed formatting anyway..I installed PCBSD 1.3.1 in a 10GB UFS partition with 1GB swap,I think it's ok.Before I spent days and nights tying to use my sagem fast 840(annex B) usb modem,I'd like to know if there's any chance to make it work..

USB modem ? No way. Most of them don't even work in Linux.

:-( I have to wait till November when I'll change my internet provider and buy a router. Is there any specific brand most likely to work?

Routers are Ethernet, anything will work ;)
