Hey there im pretty new to all this but im tryin to learn how to use linux. i just dowloaded the new linux drivers from nvidia.com but i cant seem to install it? everytime i try im told that im running an x-server. what is that? and how do i shut that down.

Another isue is that im having difficulties installing a game? how can i do that? :-?

For the Nvidia drivers, check out this page:

For the game, you need to say which game it is and what kind of media you have it on.

hmm well its an downloaded file .exe and the game is called eve-online

That.s a windown game and it will not run natively under Linux, since it's not a Linux file type. However, you may be able to get it to run if you install Cedega (it's an emulator which allows you to run some Windows games). Goos luck.

hmm i now have installed the wine files all in all there 4 files showing. ive tried to search on the net about how to work with it but i dont have any idea how i start a game i installed it somehow and got an shortcut on my desktop in ubuntu but i cant seem to start the game?
