Hello Everyone,

Dont know if this is the correct place to post this - I apologize if this is not.

I need an old machine that you might want to get rid of, dont have the money to go for a new one.

If you have a old working laptop that you can do without, I'll pay the shipping.

If you'd like to help please contact me, i will close this as soon as some one comes to aid.

Appreciate your time and help.

OM

Try your local public school system. The one in my area has a surplus store where they sell old desks, calculators, etc. Mine sells laptops for under $100.

Also check out Craig's List. (Maybe even eBay?) In my area CL always has a swarm of people trying to get rid of their old 286s and such.

Another idea is the big pc vendors usually have on-line outlets where you might find some cheap stuff. Try the Dell outlet:http://www.dell.com/content/default.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dfh&cs=22 and also the Dell Financing outlet: http://http://www.dfsdirectsales.com/dell/notebooks/ctl641/cp11869/cl1

I love these posts , We get a few a week , Someone from India , Singapore , Nigeria asking for free computers and offering to pay shipping when in fact if someone in the western world agreed to donate a PC for charities sake , the shipping would cost more or the same the person would have paid for a new or semi-new PC in their country , don't fall for opportunistic internet cafe exploiters.

appreciate your concerns .. let me share a few facts .. I make .. approx $ 250 a month, a new pc would set me back by at least $1000, and a laptop by at least $1250, older PCs do not really have a market in countries such as mine, you will find loads of these but there is no gurantee as to whether a P3 has been rescripted to show up as a P4 while booting..

and just to clarify .. I know I will end up paying more .. the reason why I choose to do so .. is the fact that I at least know that i'll have something that works and wont go kaput on me for the next 1 year at least ..

Not everyone is trying to pull a scam .. And I am NOT asking For a FREE computer - asking for one that any one would be willing to let go of for around $150

Appreciate and understand your concerns though ..

I access the forums as and when I have time ..

you want to go for a debate I suggest we take this to "The Back Yard" ..

Belton Texas - nice town - will require some help from you before we start - please check with your local DHL office what the shiopping is going to be like .. can xfr the money but be better if I do it all at one time i.e. incl the shipping .. post the details tomorrow if you'd like I am still here .. pre paid packing slips are not entirely possible due to customs and security regulations from outside the United States

And just a suggestion .. try to visit previous threads of the concerned individual, before responding to them ..

Nigeria and India have nothing in common ..

I grew up in the United states and I am 30 now spent 16 years of my life in NY .. and I always thik of it as home .. love the place that I do my own country .. where am I going with this .. America is in an individuals heart and has nothing to do with physical residence.

Hello again... OM!

As for the laptop, I would need to get $70.00 for it.

As for shipping cost, you pay all of it of course including any additional cost for insurance and delivery confirmation that's available.

Payment to be made, via Western Union MO, which you can specify to be picked up at location which I'll send you details of by email... once we are ready to complete the transaction that is. And of course, shipment will not be made until I have received/picked up the money.

I was starting to wonder if you ever sleep... geesh! o.0

Just sent the email with details on shipping cost, OM.

Waiting until you get paid again isn't a problem. I'll give her a good wipe down and rummage through the old parts closet... I think there is also another 1275 parts machine in there somewhere.

Just let me know...

No worries OM. Received and replied back.

Will need your full shipping address to verify the shipping numbers we had with just what I was able to find on the web as a postal code for the location you gave earlier in the thread.

Thank you,

Steve
