After the newest update of Wine, 0.9.45, any games I try to play are almost completely unplayable.
StarCraft freezes on startup, the Source games (CSS, HL2, etc) are extremely jumpy, and I have performance issues with just about everything else.
I know it's not my hardware; everything ran perfectly fine with the 0.9.44 version of Wine.

It's extremely annoying not being able to play any games, and I really don't want to have to set up my dual booting situation again just to play a few games.

Is there any information I can give to help this situation?

There seem to be a few performance issues related to the latest Wine update. I have some games that won't run at all now, when they ran perfect (well, nearly perfect) before the update. You can downgrade back to 0.9.44 by downloading the .deb package from here:

You will need to uninstall Wine first, install the 0.9.44 package, then force that version by following the instructions here:

I think I am going to give that a try.
Thanks.
