um i think you need to google your problem, as well as ubuntu. once you see what ubuntu is, you will see why we are so alarmed your post is here. just so you know, some very good torrent downloaders run flawlessly on ubuntu. Azarus is one. id recremend going duel boot for a while, and you will see why noone here really gives a sh*t about vista

Your best shot would be to try the forum at utorrent.com. They are quite helpful.

Lulz to tha max d00d!
In answer to the original posters (admittedly somewhat out of place) question, you may have more luck if you have a 'save as' option, then you can specify the path to the save location.
It may well be putting them in your 'My Documents' folder or whatever they call it in Vista by default.

This is not the first time a windows user somehow strangly in mysterious way posted their problem on a Linux board. :lolflag:
Anyway I'm going to move this thread to other OS forum.

I don't know why you have this (odd) problem. utorrent works well in vista, I had no problems installing it whatsoever...

Interesting problem.
Perhaps the fellow is running a resident virus checker, it scans the .exe when downloaded, believes it is infected for whatever reason (maybe it is, maybe it's a false positive), then quarentines it immediately. I'd have thought you'd get a message if something like that happened though. Just a theory.
