Here's a little something for those of us who have to boot to our Windows partitions more than we'd like. I have to admit, I think Aero and Vista's themes are quite well done; if nothing else, they're far better than the tired old XP theme. I'm not a fan of all the DRM and WGA crap that's built in to Vista, though, nor do I want to part with $300 for an OS that seems to cause more problems than it solves, but I came across a solution this weekend. This is what my XP install looks like now (click on request download link, then download):

As you can see, the theme and icons are Vista's; the login screen, system sounds, etc are as well. Some other goodies:

The conversion pack comes with Rocketdock, a porting of the Mac OS X dock to the Windows platform that works VERY well. For those who want to try it all out on their XP boxes, download the Bricopack at:

Another very cool thing that I found thanks to this post here on the forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=542670

That's right, there's a 3D compositing window manager for Windows now, too. It can't compete with CF or Beryl yet, but takes care of one of the major gripes I had when I had to boot to Windows (I missed my 4 desktops.) I recommend you hit the download site soon if you'd like to have it, as I've heard it's becoming payware here pretty quickly:

Just wanted to share, in case you're interested!
Also, I'd recommend running a registry cleanup and defrag tool after all is said and done, as the process does seem to create a lot invalid shortcut links in the registry.
