[SOLVED] XMAME Full Screen out of range

Im trying to set up XMAME to start games fullscreen in MythTV.

Im using it on a tv which gets its signal from the s-video out on my nvidia card.

To elliminate the possibility of it being something wrong wtih mythtv I am just trying different options from the command line on the tv monitor. If I start it fullscreen on my computer monitor it works fine, but if i start it fullscreen on the tv it blacks both the tv and my computer monitor out and my computer monitor says "OUT OF RANGE"

any help with this would be appreciated.

may i kindly recommend sdlmame? xmame is dead and has been since mame .106. sdlmame is newer & better. if you need a frontend, kxmame 2.0-beta supports it. (kxmame-2.0-svn-sdlmame-20070603 is available on the kxmame site).
