How do I associate a file with an application. I installed Scribus and I want to be able to open my scribus files by double clicking the icon. I had set the "open with" option to Scribus, but I get a warning that even though I specified the file is a scribus file, the contents indicates its a text file, therefore it could be a risk. It doesn't allow me to open the file. So, how do I properly associate the file with Scribus and not have Ubuntu question my motives.

Thanks,

George.

Right click the file in question, click properties, open the tab named Open with and ensure that the active option is scribus(ie the one with the filled radio button). All files with the extension same as the above file will open with Scribus.

Please forgive if this is not exactly the help you required.....am a newbie too..
