Hi,
I recently tried out wubi on Vista Home Premium. After several attempts to boot it when given the choice between Vista and Wubi, I uninstalled it. However, Wubi Ubuntu is still listed on my boot menu along with Vista (and PCLinuxOS).

Could someone please explain how I can remove the Wubi entry? Should I try a complete install and then uninstall again?

Thanks.

(I realise this is a Windows question, but I am a linux user. Cheers).

You will need to insert your Vista disk, boot to the recovery console and let it restore the MBR to it's original configuration.

EasyBCD is an excellent software for this sort of tasks. http://neosmart.net/

I'd like to know why Ubuntu wasn't uninstalled though, uninstaller works fine here on vista. If you can try again starting with a clean sheet it would be very nice. Thanks

Worked a treat. Thanks! It was more of an annoyance than a problem but was starting to bug me.

No idea why this happened and why Wubi didn't work for me. I was just trying it out for interests sake having been dual booting Windows and Kubuntu for about 18 months.

Thanks once again for your help. Great piece of software.
