I recently installed Mail Notification 1.0 from synaptic. I opened it, configured it for gmail, then it crashed. I tried to reopen it, wouldn't reopen. Reinstalled it, still wouldn't open. Maybe it's time to update the repositories to 1.1? Just an idea.

I built one out of breezy src for you to use until Seth or someone makes an official one. Once an official style one is out please replace this one with it.
Side note: What package do I need to get dch?

Mail Notification 1.1 is also broken. The program author seems to refuse to do anything about it (such as a workaround) and blames gmail url change for the problem. The program has no mailing list and I don't see any form of active development. Personally I have given-up on mail notification and use checkgmail instead.

Has checkgmail been backported? I'd like to try it out. BTW, thanks Kyral for the deb!

I don't use gDesklets anymore. Its quite a memory hog, at least on my computer it is. I'm looking for something that integrates into the GNOME panel. :)
