I've successfully installed Grand Theft Auto Vice City on my Ubuntu computer using a program called "CrossOver Pro 6" from CodeWeavers. It runs very nicely although slower than Windows and a bit darker.
But here's the thing: except when my characters are in a car, they're all white. People walking in the street as well as main characters and even Tommy.
Does anyone know how to go about this problem?
Thank You! :)
P.S.: I've already tried deactivating the vertex shaders.

I guess you got the Italian mobster version....
Kidding, that seems odd. Was there anything on the Codemasters site about it?

Also have you checked the Crossover database for info on GTA?
You may want to test the game /w WINE (which is what Crossover is underneath that fancy gui) to see if the newer builds have solved such issues.

I did check on their website and no one had that bug (or at least no one reported it).
And I installed it on Wine but not only did it not work, I couldn't uninstall it (the confirmation window kept disapearing behind the loading window) :(

My bad... I was reading about Toastmasters after I read your post...
Codeweavers is what I meant. :)

Oh lol no problem :)
No one on the website has had this problem...
But there was a new version of Wine released today, I'll try it on it tonight!
