Microsoft is forcing Windows Live and MSN Messenger users to upgrade to the newest version due to a security update included in that release, according to a posting on a Microsoft blog.

Really... I believe that was a poor choice of words on MS's account. Really, it should be "requires". It makes sense though. If you were running a web-service, and found out that there was a glaring security hole (ie. running windows), then wouldn't you require your clients to upgrade to protect everyone involved? :-)

Not to mention that if people insist on using the poor security version, MS will have to cope with all the crap!
