You're just some (x,y,z,t) point in space-time, every parameter is relative to the chosen reference system.

It's time for Adobe Web Premium to finish downloading (purchased, not trial) so I can play with it and figure out my new workflow. But I know that won't happen until the early morning, so I might as well sleep.

No they don't, seriously. The highest precision time standards aren't known in real-time, only in retrospect (i.e. days afterward). It didn't make sense to me until I read The Science of Timekeeping.

What exactly is time? It's nothing more than a man made concept that constantly pressures us to get certain tasks done by a certain "time". So what really is "time"?

kostkon, I agree with you. What is time?

Time is only a unit which humans need to explain the changing of the alignment of planets. Once they (we, if you like) learn about the movement of the universe further than our actual solar system. All eight planets of it (yes, I have learnt that Pluto is NOT a planet :D ) then we will realise that our time (what we have created) is not right at all.

Just for reference. In the 1700's, in the uk, the government had to change the date by approximately three months because all of the 'daylight saving' and 'winter hour gaining' or whichevery way around it is, caused such a time difference that they were three months ahead of where they should have been! Obviously, this would never happen now with all our modern technology. Or would it? Hmmmm

the question maybe "Does anybody have any idea what time it is?" but what you should really be asking is if you have the time to tell the time... my answer to that question is

TIME OUT!!!

It went from Nov. 6th to one week ago(Or ~March 17th), and now today... This thread is jumping all over the calendar. XD

Currently, or at the time of writing, it is, or was, 1:08 A.M., at least over here it is, or was.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, time is a relative measurement of, well, time(x.x). Since there is, as far as we know, no end to time, you cannot state a point in time without another reference(implied or otherwise) to a specific point in time.

Anyway, before I get carried away, it's time for me to go to bed... or, more accurately, it was time for me to go to bed a long time ago. lol

Salpiche
March 25th, 2008, 02:28 AM
what time do you want it to be?
Past, Present, Future?
if you want it to be the past you are out of luck since it's gone, the present just became the past and the future you just wasted it by reading this. So for future note... go and enjoy your future, keep the present alive and remember the past! :)

You must be joking?

Man with two watches never sure what time it is!

I have

a computer clock,
a kitchen clock,
a microwave clock,
a living room clock,
a stereo clock in the living room
a stereo clock in the bedroom
a clock in my Palm
an alarm clock
and a watch

Oh, are we talking daylight savings time or standard time in your time zone or mine?

Actually, it doesn't matter! After looking at them all, the answer to the question is very easy:

I haven't a clue!
