I was on their website and could not download for free as i could see.
Is it free or do you have to pay?

Cedega is a commercial product, based on the work of the Wine project (http://www.winehq.org/).

Cedega is a fork of the wine project. You can check out the latest Cedega out of CVS for free. However, the released versions (which have somethings not in public cvs) are not free.

the majority of it is is just wine thats been modified the other bits are a few microsoft direct3D bits from what i can gather the CVS can be installed with the walkthrough at http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=45
