Hi,
Jist of the problem: I need a home email server. I had one, it died 6 months ago, I fixed it 4 months ago, and now am finally trying to bring it back online.
When I originally set it up, I used a guide and cannot remember where I found it, unfortunately everything I find is either beyond what I need or not at all what I need.
All I want the server to do is retreive email from my domain host, put it into mailboxes, but scan mainly for spam, I am not too warried about viruses, but that is a bonus. I dont need it to do the relaying of email as the pc's will send directly to the relay host at my internet provider - but I do know that this can be setup in Postfix - just dont know how, - Generally I dont know what and to config the required components.
Now I know that I need at least the following:
Ubuntu Server edition - I have version 6.10
Postfix - MTA
Anti-Virus - Avast or Clamav
Fetchmail
SpamAssassin
I can download and install, but configuring - there I am a novice.
Assistance in this would be greatly appreciated
Regards
