I love this thing; it's great! No more having to put in the keyring password when I boot up to connect, and that Network Selection Applet thingy always struck me as a bit unstable...PLUS you couldn't be specific.

I think it could use some sort of prioritization between the preferred networks though...dunno how doable it is but it shoudln't be too hard. Favor one network over another, in case you've got 2 neighbors with wide open nets, but you'd rather connect to Joe Bloe instead of John Smith.

Might also be handy if wired were ever integrated, since the reguular ethernet could be placed in the priority list, and if a wire gets connected shut down the wireless and shift everything over to the wire until it gets disconnected. Just a thought.

It would be able to completely replace that piece of junk from Novell at that point though ;)

To be fair to NM, it is trying to be a one-stop shop of a lot more than this. It is also quite immature. I expect to for Breezy+1.

The Novell application he is, probably, referring to is NetApplet, a very simple interface to ifupdown.

Yep. Network Manager is Red Hat's baby. Netapplet is Novell's...
